If your wallet balance suddenly disappeared, start by checking what actually moved. Save the network, transaction hash and receiving address. ScamBoard can help you compare community accounts and report your experience, but cannot reverse a transfer or identify a wallet owner.
Check the transaction, then secure the wallet
Use the transaction history in your wallet and a block explorer for the correct network. MetaMask recommends checking the date, recipient, application and value before concluding a transaction was unauthorized. If it was not yours, follow your wallet provider’s official compromised-wallet guidance. Never share your recovery phrase or private key with someone offering help.
Do not put more funds into a compromised wallet
If you suspect a sweeper is automatically taking incoming funds, do not add crypto for gas. MetaMask warns this can lead to further losses. A compromised recovery phrase and a harmful token approval are different problems; disconnecting a website alone does not resolve either. Get the relevant instructions from your provider’s official support site.
“I connected my wallet and my crypto disappeared”
Describe the order of events: where you found the link, which wallet you used, what the connection or signing screen asked you to do, and when you noticed an outgoing transaction. Connecting to a site and authorizing a transaction are different steps; say which actions you remember instead of guessing what caused the loss.
What to check before trusting a helper
Reach support through your wallet provider’s official website. Do not give a stranger your seed phrase or private key, including someone claiming to be MetaMask support. A person who approaches you after a loss may be trying to scam you again.
What belongs in a public report?
You can add the reported wallet address, network, transaction reference and amount or asset lost if you know them. Never include your recovery phrase, private key, passwords or identity documents. Describe what happened even if you do not have a wallet address.
Compare your experience with other wallet reports
Search an address mentioned in the transaction, or try words such as “wallet drained”, “fake support” or the name of the platform where you met the account. Read the complete report before drawing a connection. The related stories below are community accounts, not technical diagnoses of your wallet.
Does a wallet with no ScamBoard results mean it is safe?
No. ScamBoard contains community submissions, not every wallet or transaction. An address may be new, missing from a report, or not yet reported. Use the results as context, not a security certificate.
