An NFT loss is not always best described as a dollar amount. A useful report can identify the collection or asset, the marketplace or wallet involved, and the steps that preceded the transfer.
“Someone stole my NFT”
Start with what you owned and what you noticed had changed. Say whether you were minting, accepting an offer, claiming a reward or talking to someone who offered help. If you know the public transaction reference, save it. Do not infer a cause you cannot establish.
Separate a marketplace from an impersonator
A report may mention Magic Eden, OpenSea or another service even when the contributor followed an unrelated link pretending to represent it. Describe the site you actually used and how you reached it. A brand name in a message does not prove an affiliation.
Report the asset rather than inventing a price
Choose NFT in ScamBoard’s optional loss field and add the collection or asset name if useful. Leave monetary loss blank if you do not have a meaningful figure. The first-hand account is still useful to someone encountering a similar offer.
Does ScamBoard recover stolen NFTs?
No. ScamBoard helps people share and search experiences. It does not reverse blockchain transfers or offer an asset recovery service. Be wary of strangers promising a guaranteed recovery for an upfront fee.
