What a listing means

Listings contain community reports and may be published without moderator review. They are allegations, not a guarantee of wrongdoing. A missing listing does not verify an account.

What becomes public

The reported identifier, platform, category, relevant aliases, reported loss, dates, story text and attached media become public when a report is published. New reports that pass submission checks publish automatically. Unpublished uploads and dispute evidence remain restricted to the submitter and authorized moderators. Dispute contact details are never public.

Published stories and an attached image may also be shared on ScamBoard’s official X account, @ScamBoardHQ. Your private browser session and subscription email are not included. Copies on other platforms may remain after a report is removed here; contact us to request a correction or removal there.

Publication and moderation

New reports publish automatically after submission checks. Publication is not a human fact check or independent verification. Moderators can investigate complaints and remove reports. Repeated reports are not necessarily independent evidence. Remove private information before uploading; attachments are not automatically redacted.

Corrections and disputes

Use “Report a problem” → “This report is incorrect” on the specific report. Disputes are free. A moderator can remove that report after reviewing the explanation. Other reports are considered separately.

Your evidence

Submit only material you are entitled to share. Hide personal names, addresses, ID numbers and financial details before uploading. Evidence and technical session information remain stored until manually deleted; there is currently no automatic expiry. You can request deletion through the contact below. A request may require review of an active dispute or legal obligation; we will explain any information retained. Keep your case reference when contacting us about a submission.

Content rules and terms

Share accurate firsthand experiences and evidence you are entitled to publish. Do not submit fabricated accusations, threats, harassment, private personal details or calls to target or contact someone. Do not use ScamBoard to arrange unlawful transactions. Content may be rejected or removed for breaking these rules. A report is an allegation, not a finding of guilt; absence of a report is not an endorsement.

Privacy and service providers

We use Firebase App Check and Google reCAPTCHA to help detect automated abuse. These services may process device, browser and network information for security. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

No registration or reporter name is required. ScamBoard uses a private browser session identifier, submissions and evidence to review reports and handle challenges. Your session identifier is not published. This is not a guarantee of complete anonymity: service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses. Optional subscription emails and consent records are stored separately and are not displayed on reports. To unsubscribe or request deletion, email support@scamboard.io. Subscribing is never required to post. If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics measures visits, device and approximate geographic information, and aggregate search and submission events using cookies. We do not send report text, searched identifiers or email addresses to analytics. You can decline or withdraw using Analytics preferences in the footer. Firebase and Google Cloud provide hosting, authentication and storage. Approved report text is sent to Google Cloud Translation to provide other languages; translations may contain errors. Information may be processed outside your country. Attachments included with a published report are public. Subscription emails and unpublished report data are not included in public report pages.

Contact, corrections and removal

Use “Report a problem” on a report to challenge an allegation or flag exposed information. If you cannot sign in, email the contact below with the report link, what is wrong and the action you request. You may request access, correction or deletion of your information. Do not send passwords or ID documents. Requests are reviewed manually; there is no guaranteed response time.
