A Telegram display name or familiar profile picture does not establish who is behind an account. Search the exact username alongside the story, then compare what the account asked the contributor to do.
Record the full @username and compare it character by character with the account you intended to contact. Include whether the conversation began in a group, a channel or a private message. Similar-looking letters and an unexpected private reply can explain why an impersonation was convincing.
A useful report explains what was offered, how the seller was found, the promised delivery date, the payment method, and what happened when the buyer followed up. State what you personally observed. A missing reply by itself does not establish why a transaction failed.
Remove unrelated names, home addresses, private conversations and account credentials from screenshots. You can describe the seller’s claimed identity without publishing your own real name. Use Telegram’s in-app reporting tools for the account or message as well.
Yes. You can share an experience without a public account or reporter name. A reported username is optional, but it helps other people search for the same account.
